I know it is the wrong season but here she is with her Christmas skeleton tattoos.

I love that little angel on her shoulder.

You can see the Nativity scene on her back.

And here she is with her friend-

And here she is with her friend-

Very colorful skeletons, bright red boots and bra top, and some awesome pants/leggings.

She has a jewel button on her belt.

As I said before, I am working through pattern pieces that I dyed several years ago and there are a lot of skeleton tattoos!

I really like how the fan design on the fabric works with this lady’s body.
A close-up of her antique shell button-

And here she is, hanging around with her friend :-)

I’ve had a tough week all around. A very dear friend has passed away and I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it. And, probably related, nothing is working for me in my studio. Sometimes things in the creative process glide along with no bumps. This last week was all bumps. I’m hoping that next week will go better.
She really looks circus to me- it is the striped leggings.

Brown hair with red highlights. And a bow!

And here are 3 together-

She is all soft colors. Her bodysuit is a soft red tone, her boots are grey, her tattoos are brown. I made her be toned down instead of popping.

Another lovely lady!

She has skeleton tattoos also, but these ones are Wild Western ones.

She has a silk ribbon at her waist with a bow in the back.

I am working on more women but not the cozy pillow kind.

When people ask me how long a random piece takes me, I am always flummoxed. So often there are blips along the road to finishing. With the ladies- I sewed up 9 ladies from pieces that I’d cut out and dyed before I left Boston; so more than 3 years ago. I stuffed this first one and … hmm. The head didn’t look right. I went through all the pattern pieces and remembered that I’d redesigned the head shape at some point. I’d traced the new design onto the fabric but years and humidity had disappeared the water-erasable lines. So, un-stuff this lady, retrace her head pattern, retrace on all the other ladies, resew, etc., etc. Onward. It is not a straight road!

Most of the ladies that I have ready to finish have some variation of a skeleton design for tattoos.

She really is the last one for now. She is my goodnight lady :-)

I have been in the process of hanging shades in my studio. I had to clean up enough so I could get to the window- step one in cleaning my studio. Then I had to move everything that was blocking the window- furniture and plants- so now it is a disaster again. I guess next week I will be (trying to) return things to order!
She is the last cat lady for now.

And here are these latest ladies, spending some time together.

I have one more lady to finish up before I go on to the next thing.

There was so much interest in the Cat Ladies that I felt the need to make a few more before I packed all the wool away.

Here are all the kitties-

Her cute little shoes-
